Bhrigu Lake Trek
Bhrigu Lake is located in district Kullu. It is at an altitude of 4235 m above the sea level. The lake is located in the east of Rohtang Pass. The distance is 6 km from Gulaba Village. People from around the world come to visit this lake. Lake derived its name from saint Bhrigu. You step into the grassland within 10 minutes of the trek you’ll see the fabulous Gulaba base camp. Gulaba is one hour drive from Manali.
You will like the way Bhrigu meadows change the texture, shape, and color. It will stay with you until the Bhrigu Lake. The alpine meadow makes the trek special because it’s a rare opportunity. When the meadows are covered with snow it feels more pristine. Camping is a rewarding experience here.
According to mythology, saint Bhrigu meditated at this place. He is a renowned sage of Hindu religion. Locals of the Kullu valley visit to take a dip in its sacred water. The lake is said to be sacred by many devotees who visit this site.
Best season to visit:
The best time to visit Bhrigu Lake is from May to October. Nearly half a year the lake remains frozen. Even during the early summertime travelers can enjoy the sight of snow.

- By Air: – The nearest airport is Bhuntar. It is 52 km from Manali. There are many taxi services available from Bhuntar to Manali.
- By Road:-The place is accessible to roads. You can take an overnight bus from Delhi to Manali. Last bus leaves at 8:30 from Kashmiri Gate ISBT.
